"Pre-Professional Organizer" Experience
In the time before turning professional as an organizer, my background of education and employment provided a broad base of experience.
This included:
- Graduating with degrees in business and accounting with tax and business law coursework
- Working extensively with seniors
- Assisting a personal time management and goal-setting coach
- Coordinating various marketing and promotional events
- Managing all accounting and payroll functions for a multi-million dollar manufacturing company
Organizing Experience
In my organizing journeys I have gained over 3,000 hours of hands-on experience working side-by-side with clients helping them down a path of improved time-management, clutter control, and space efficiency.
I have assisted people from all walks of life and backgrounds organize their kitchens, closets, bedrooms, garages, basements, and home offices. I attend classes and seminars given by fellow organizers to increase my knowledge base. I keep abreast of new techniques and products by reading columns and books published by other experienced professional organizers.
Community Involvement
As a small business owner, I believe involvement in your community is important. As a result, I have participated in numerous local organizations including:
- Member of BRA: A woman's business networking group that supports and encourages businesswomen and female entrepreneurs
- GO Week: Annual project where, along with other local organizers, I volunteer time on an organizing project for a needy group or organization.
- Sponsor the annual Heart Gala hosted by the American Heart Association
- Sponsor the annual Barstow School Auction
Teaching, Writing, and Speaking
